This is my personal blog! I’m writing about my voyage through my weight loss. The opinions expressed herein are my own personal opinions and do not represent Vance Chiropractic Inc, or Ideal Protein in any way.
Hi, thanks for stopping by our web site and checking us out! If you are here then you must have an interest in losing weight or know someone that is.
For those of you that are not familiar with us here at Vance Chiropractic my name is Justin Vance but most everyone knows me as “J”.
Dr Josh and Dr Kari have been talking about, and hunting for a weight loss product to offer to their patients. After a long and extensive search followed with long days of thought and prayers, they found a weight loss system called Ideal Protein.
They came to me and asked if I would be interested in losing weight. The catch was… would I be willing to tell everyone in the world wide web about it.
So, that is where we are today…

I have been a big guy most of my life. I really don't ever remember being "skinny" or even "thin" as a kid. I always was a chunk. I guess it goes back to fact that my mom was a pastry chef and there were always sweets around. We always had family dinners; they were full blown meals, not meals that most families eat now with the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Don't get me wrong I am not passing blame on anyone, it lies all at the feet of me and the 6 cookies I ate before dinner, or the two Big Macs and french fries that I had at lunch, and not to mention the fact that I drank about a 6 pack of coke a day. I have just embraced the fact that I would always be a big guy, it has become a part of who I am, and what my personality has made me over my almost 40 years of life.
The biggest problem that I have other than the sweets is the convenience of fast food, or the ease of ordering a pizza to the house. It really is difficult cooking for one and not eating a week of left overs. That is why this system is great for me everything is individualized and in single servings.
So... There goes that excuse!
As I have gotten older, I have noticed health issues that frankly, scare the wits out of me. In the back of my mind I know that they are weight related and I know that I need do something now and get them under control. That is what has lead me to this point in time.
During this process I will tell you what I am having problems with, what products I find tasty that Ideal Protein offers, and what concoctions of my own I have come up with. I know some of are saying;"Why would you start a diet in the month of December?" Well… if I can make it through the month of cookies and candy, I can make it through any month.
To tell you the truth I am excited about this process. I don't think that I have ever been excited about starting a diet before but, I have seen the before and after pictures, spoken with people that have been on Ideal Protein. I just hope that the results are as BIG as they say. So... with that said there is a new skinnier, thinner, more healthier J on the horizon.
Only time will tell, wish me luck!

Week One: January 25th - January 31st, 2012
I’m back….
It has been a while since I have posted anything. Therefore, I thought I would catch you guys up on things. After having a conversation with a patient about my blog, I have come to a conclusion, that I can’t do this weight loss process without you. I have tried the program over the last 6 months, on and off again. But I realized that you (my readers) are the reason for my success. I need to have structure, or better yet accountability.
I thought I was going to have that accountability through another avenue, when the local newspaper came knocking on our door. We were asked if we would like to partake in a local Biggest Loser Contest with other businesses that help people with weight loss. Those businesses will remain nameless, but I think that I can paint a pretty good picture. One was a local workout facility; the other was specialized facility that combines discipline and structure with a healthily workout. I was patiently waiting to hear back, as to the rules, and when I needed to be there for weigh-ins. When I got an email from the newspaper, stating that no one was interested in competing. Our newspaper representative thought that the results of our clinic may have scared off the other competitors. What does that tell you? Maybe this program really does work better than just working out and watching what you eat.
The other driving factor that I have is… I have met a wonderful young lady. I have asked her to be my wife. We are getting married in December of 2012 in Jamaica. I want to look my best for that, and our 10 days on the beach together. We have decided to go through this weight loss transformation together.
I have to brutally honest with you all, since taking a break after losing my 100 pounds. I really didn’t follow the protocol and gained some of that weight back, and I have accepted that! Some of you asked me why I stopped. Well, I was happy where I was in my life. I hadn’t felt that could in years. I had a huge burst of self confidence, and really liked the way that I looked and was comfortable where I was, but I have regained my focus, and I’m ready to start again. The good news is… the weight that I did gain over those 6 months will come off as easy as it went on.
With this new found focus and accountability, we are heading back to my original goal weight of 250 pounds by the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. That is a total of 120.5 pounds in 121 days. With what I know about this program, I don’t think this is an unobtainable goal. Wish me luck!
Alright, here we go Tale of the tape for week one:

First Time Through the Program December 2010 - May 2011
"The tale of the Tape"
Here is probably this most humbling thing that I have ever done. Posting my weight and body inches on the internet.

Weight: 429 lbs
BMI: 61.55
Percent body fat: 32.67%
Neck: 19.5"
Shoulders: 64"
Chest: 65"
Waist: 65"
Thigh: 33"
Ankles: 11.5"
Look for the tale of the tape about every 4 weeks.
I have decided that my goal weight is going to be 240 lbs. If everything goes as planned I should reach it by this summer. The great thing about this program you can have this great results and not have to have bariatric surgery.
Here is to being a new me by the summer time!
Check back each week for an update of the pounds and inches lost and pictures.
Week 1: December 1- 7, 2010
Ok, so… we got week one under our belts. Let me tell you, I am glad that I didn’t have the withdrawals from the sugar and caffeine (that I really thought I was going to have quitting soda and sweets cold turkey), and lucky no hunger headaches.
I will have to say that day two was the most difficult. I was driving home and all I could think about was eating as I drove by restaurants, I could hear myself say mmmm pizza sounds good, or better yet that Chinese place has a drive thru. But with the will power, I made it home to have a nice salad and a BIG unsweet ice tea. I still have cravings but you just have to have the will power to say no, this is a life changer and I can do it!
As the days passed this week I have noticed that I am sleeping better, feel great, my back doesn’t hurt as much. But the biggest thing is the energy level. I find myself wanting to do things around the house or outside, other than sitting in the chair in front of the television like a lump. I can’t wait to see what else is to follow in this transformation. It is really exciting!
I am sure some of you want to know what the food is like. Well, to tell you the truth the food with Ideal protein is not bad, there are some things that you will have to acquire the taste (they have that diet food taste) but overall very good. The drinks are good (orange drink tastes just like Tang, and the pink lemonade is not bad), I have only tried the Carmel Nut bars, and their like a small Snickers bar without all the sugar. But what surprised me was the veggie spaghetti, it’s very good (don’t use the microwave make it on the stove).
I’m trying anything and everything to help me through this, so… Dr. Kari is doing acupuncture for weight loss on me twice a week while I am on the Ideal Protein system. If a little is good a whole lot must be better. Right?
Ok… here goes this week’s weight is: 418 lbs. I lost 11 pounds this week.
What a great start, makes it all worth it!
Week 2: December 8-15, 2010
Wow! Week two, and what can I say; it has been interesting. I found out that I need to have all three protein packs in a day. Also, I am actually finding it very hard to eat lunch and dinner, as I am not as hungry as before.
The funny thing about week two is it seems like it has been a month since I started. I have been for the first time more conscience of reading labels and looking at the menu when I am ordering out. That is right! You heard me correctly; I got to eat out over the weekend.
The food is getting better, and I am becoming more accustomed to them. I have some other recipes on the internet and I found some fat free, sugar fee, carbohydrate free, salad dressing which is a God send because I don’t know how much more vinegar and olive oil I could handle! The other thing I am finding out, is that there are foods that I thought I didn’t like that aren’t too bad. I guess I will keep a more open mind of all the vegetables out there in this big green world.
I have made a goal of myself I want to lose 30 pounds a month. That is a pound a day I don’t think that will be too hard.
Ok… Here is this week’s weigh in 410 lbs. I lost 8 pounds this week.
Two week total: 19 pounds lost!
Almost 20 pounds in two weeks if that is not motivation to keep going I don't know what is!
Week 3: December 15-21, 2010
Well week three is behind us, and things are only look up. It is getting easier now, that Dr Josh and Dr Kari are both on the Ideal Protein weight loss system.
I’m finding different recipes which can be a part of the diet. For example, I had a healthy rendition of PF Chang’s lettuce wraps. We were very watchful of the labels, and stayed away from the fat, sugar and carbs. I also tried some new foods from Ideal Protein. The maple oatmeal is very good, and tastes a lot like the Quaker Oats Maple Brown Sugar oatmeal. Also I have a new favorite, the BBQ Ridges. They have a good crunch, and make you feel like you’re having BBQ potato-chips.
This week was a tough one! We are two weeks before Christmas, and the cookies and candy are slowly making their way into the office. On Wednesday there was a platter of ice sugar cookies (which happens to be my kryptonite) and the Hershey kiss peanut butter cookies. I had the will power to say no, and what is really surprising me is, I didn’t even have a craving for one!
There is talk of people coming off their diet for Christmas day. (I’m not going to mention any names…) Should I? That is the real question? I don’t know what I should do. I am having such great results. On the one hand, there will be plenty of food for me to eat, which will fit into the diet parameters. On the other hand, it is Christmas brunch and Christmas dinner! What do you think that I should do? One day of eating freely, will equal 3 days of being back on the program before I will get back to the fat burning machine that my body has become.
Ok… just got off the scale and this week’s weight is: 402 pounds. I lost 8 pounds again this week!
Three week total: 27 pounds lost!
Look for new pictures and tale of the tape next week!
Week 4: December 22- 28, 2010 "Tale of the Tape"
This was a difficult week, being Christmas in all. Thanks for input from many of you on whether or not to stay on or have a cheat day on Christmas. After, thinking long and hard about I decided not to go off the diet, but instead to eat more protein than normal. I still stuck with the no carbs, no fat, and no sugar. The bad news! This week I only lost 5 pounds, but that is about the average for a male on this program. The good news! I have lost some inches.
Weight: 397 lbs
BMI: 57.0
Percent body fat: 31.78%
Neck: 19" (Lost half inch)
Shoulders: 62" (Lost 2 inches)
Chest: 57.5" (Lost 7.5 inches)
Waist: 61" (Lost 4 inches)
Thigh: 30" (Lost 3 inches)
Ankles: 11" (Lost half inch)
After 4 weeks on Ideal Protein, I have gone from 429 lbs to 397 lbs. I made my goal of losing 30 pounds this month by losing 32 pounds, and have lost 17.5 inches.
We will have to see what is in store for next week!
Week 5: December 29, 2010- January 5, 2011
Well… it’s the beginning of another new year, the only thing is this year I am keeping my New Year's resolution to lose weight and keep it off!
This week I have found it hard to eat. Not that it’s difficult, just that I am not hungry as I was before. Dr Jon has to remind me to eat something, or he even has to make me stop and eat, a bar, a drink, or just something to keep the fat burning machine fueled up and motoring on.
Someone asked me about everything that I have given up (soda, sweets, carbohydrates); how do I have the will power to go 6 to 7 months without the foods that everyone loves? All you have to do is be on Ideal Protein a week, and get on the scale the first time and see that you have lost 11 pounds. You'll get excited and you'll want to strive on further. Remember it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle change!
I have started making my own little concoctions with the foods that Ideal Protein offers. This week I have started drinking coffee again. I stopped because I like creamer in my coffee. So I have been adding the vanilla premade drink to my coffee in the morning as creamer with a little splenda and "ta da" just like before. The best part I have tried it with the premade chocolate drink and it’s just like the café mocha that I use to get at Starbucks only without the whip cream. So everything is all good in my world!
I would like to thank everyone for the kind words of encouragement through my journey so far. If you want to start your own journey and have a question that is what I am here for. Just email me through the contact page of the website or call me at the office and I will do my best to help you out along the way!
If your interested in finding out more about Ideal Protein, we are offering an informational class on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 7pm at the office. Space is limited so called and reserve your spot today!
Now, for the BIG news…
This week’s weight is: 392 lbs, lost another 5 pounds
Total since December 1, 2010 is 37 pounds lost!
Until next week my friends!
Week 6: January 6 – January 12, 2011
As I sit here eating my breakfast, (for those of you who are following what I eat it’s the Peanut Crunch Bar) and reflecting back on the last week. What I keep finding myself doing is a self assessment; I look at how baggy my jeans have gotten, how I need to add another notch to my belt. Better yet how I can sit in a normal chair and bend over and tie my shoes and not lose my breath doing it. I can tell you all, that this is really the best I have felt in years. It’s exciting!
For those of you that read this and came to last night’s informational workshop, it was nice to meet all of you. If you decided that you want to start your own Journey, I wish you all success. I think you will find, that when the first week is over, its all downhill from there.
Many of you know that I am always looking for new food concoctions. If any of you come across some on Ideal Protein, I would love to try them. As well as, pass them along to the others that are with us on our weight loss journey.
Ok friends… It’s the time, that you all have been waiting for!
This week’s weight is: 387, lost another 5 pounds
Total since December 1, 2010 is 42 pounds lost
See you all next Wednesday, have a great week everyone and stay warm!
Week 7: January 13th-19th, 2011
Here I am in week 7; I never would have thought that I would have made it this long. What I can tell you is the Ideal Protein program has gotten easier with each passing week. My energy level has increased twice fold, I’m sleeping better, and I really have a healthier feeling!
This section is for my new friends that have started their own Journey with Ideal Protein, and want to know about the foods that I have had over the 7 weeks on the program.
Drinks:
Orange Drink: Tastes a lot like tang.
Blueberry, Cranberry & Pomegranate Drink:Not bad, I would say it has more Cranberry & Pomegranate taste than blueberry. If you’re worried about cellulite or loose skin from your weight loss, put this drink into your rotation every day.
Peach Mango Drink: I like this drink a lot. It has a refreshing peach taste. I would recommend drinking it with very cold water or even with a little shaved ice.
Pink Lemonade Drink: If you like tart, lip smacking drinks, then this is the one for you. I think that this is my second favorite drink, but I wouldn’t suggest it for breakfast. It would make a great lunch or snack food.
Wild berry Yogurt Drink: I’m not a big fan; I would say it’s probably a texture thing. I will give you this tip, use cold water, if it’s tepid (warm) water, or even room temp water, it will taste like warm yogurt.
Pre Mixed Drinks: I like both the vanilla and the chocolate. I feel their about the same as a Slim Fast shake but only better tasting. But I don’t use them as my drinks; I use them as my coffee creamers. Chocolate- if I want a mocha and vanilla- if I want the vanilla creamer taste.
Soups & Meals:
Cream of Chicken: Again, I’m not a fan. Not to mention the texture, but I think it has a funky after taste. But on the other side Dr. Josh loves it.
Spaghetti Bolognese Mix: It’s very good! I would to have to say it’s a small portion. But that is the whole idea! I will pass this along if you are making this use the stove directions it is much better on the stove, then from the microwave.
Maple Oatmeal: I really like this; the only bad part is - it’s a restricted food item. Meaning that you can only have one a day, but it also means you can have any other non-restricted food that day. So… I tend to eat it on the weekend.
Snacks:
Puddings: I have only tried the chocolate and vanilla, both are very good. But I would say that the vanilla is my favorite, it tastes like vanilla cake batter. And it brings back memories of me licking the mixer beaters when mom would bake a cake.
BBQ Ridges: If you like the crunch of eating chips, then this is for you. They really have a good BBQ flavor, and there are a lot of the ridges in a single serving. I usually have them with my salad as croutons, but they are very good as a snack by themselves.
Now to what everyone really wants to know about - the BARS!:
Carmel Nut: I guess the easiest thing that this would compare to is a Snickers. There are nuts, Carmel, and what I would call diet nougat, all covered in chocolate.
Cookies n Cream: Another one of my favorites, the best way to describe this would be vanilla chocolate covered Oreo cookie bar. If you are looking for something sweet in your diet, this is what I would have.
Vanilla Peanut Bar: Has a real good crunch to it and if you like Peanut butter this is for you. It is becoming one of my favorites.
Ok that is all the foods that I have tried since starting. I hope it helps you find what you like throughout your journey. Best of luck!
If you want to start your own journey and have a question, that is what I am here for. Just email me through the contact page of the website, or call me at the office and I will do my best to help you out along the way
Ok… this is what some of you are really waiting for… So here goes!
This week’s weight is: 380 lbs, another 7 pounds lost!
Seven week total: 49 pounds, averaging 7 pounds a week
Look for new pictures and tale of the table next week!
Week 8 Tale of the Tape January 20th - 26th, 2011:
Here is the good news… I lost another 7.5 inches. Bad news… I only lost 1.8 pounds this week!
I am a little disappointed; I may have eaten some things that I shouldn't have. I only lost 1.8 pounds. Well… I guess the good news is I didn’t screw up my weekly average! I’m still above 6 pounds per week. But, this week its back to my body being a fat burning machine and I’m going to follow the program to the T, NO MORE of only losing 1.8 pounds!
Next week will be huge!.jpg)
Weight: 378.8 lbs
BMI: 54.35
Percent body fat: 33.17%

Here are side by side pictures from week 1 and week 8. Can you see the changes?
Week 9: January 27th – February 2nd, 2011
Sorry for the late response, we had a few snow days at the clinic and I wasn’t able to get in to the office weigh in until this morning. I lost another 3.2 pounds this week, and almost another point on my BMI. It’s not the total that I was hoping for, but I have gotten a little lazy. I haven’t been eating my salad at lunch, not eating the right foods, or all of my Ideal Protein foods that I should be. So this week, I need to get back on the straight and narrow!
We have also ordered the two new products:
Tomato Basil Soup (Unrestricted)
Apple Cinnamon Soy puffs (Restricted)
These new products should be in the office sometime next week, and I will let you know how they are.
Until next week…, unbarring any more snow days!
This week’s weight is: 375.6, lost another 3.2 pounds
Total since December 1, 2010 is 53.4 pounds lost!
Week 10: February 3rd – February 9th , 2011
Ok folks… we are back rolling. No problems this week in the weight loss department!
I have been getting a lot of emails from others sharing recipes and ideas. I have started to put those together and will share them with all of you next week. If you have something that you want to share with the masses just forward it to me at vancechiro@gmail.com.
Let me tell you, I have had an awesome week! I had a patient tell me the look in my eye is brighter and crisp, and another asked if I was on drugs. Apparently, I have a little too much energy for some folks. I know that in the beginning I told you I was feeling better and sleeping better. You can add about 10 times to that now. I guess that is what 60.4 pounds lost will do to you. At the 10 week mark, I’m almost a 3rd of the way home to my goal weight of 240.
I have included some pictures this week. This is a 5 pound block of fat.

Since December 1st, 2010 have lost a total 12 of these little suckers!

Cool huh!
This week’s weight is: 368.6, lost another 7.0 pounds
Total since December 1, 2010 is 60.4 pounds lost!
Week 11: February 9th - February 16th, 2011
I was all ready for this week; I made the mistake of checking my weight in the middle of the week. That is something that I usually don’t do! I prefer for it to be a surprise, and find out when you all do on Wednesday’s.
I only lost 3.2 pounds this week, instead of getting discouraged I decided to get my measure measurements. Boy, what was an eye opening experience! It has only been 3 weeks since my last tale of the tape. Since January 26 I have lost 12.75 inches, and my BMI has dropped another half a point, and the really cool part is my body fat percentage has dropped 3%. That makes up for the small weight loss! I am going to put this week in the WIN column.
The next week is picture time, and I will have a total inches lost for the complete 12 weeks. See you all next Wednesday!
This week’s weight is: 365.4, lost another 3.2 pounds
Total since December 1, 2010 is 63.6 pounds lost!
Week 12 February 16th – February 22nd, 2011 Tale of the Tape:
The amount of weight that I have lost finally came into perspective this morning, when my 5 year old niece got on the scale and wanted to see how much she weighed. Kylie tipped the scale at a whopping 54.6 pounds. It was then I realized that I have basically lost the accumulative weight of a kindergartener. That is really cool! Now that I think about it, when everything is said and done I will have lost the accumulative weight of another full grown man!
If you are looking for those recipes that I said I would pass along, they have their own pages in the Ideal Protein section, just under Justin’s Journey on our website. I hope you try them out, and let me know how they are!
Weight: 359.4 lbs
BMI: 51.6
Percent body fat: 30.77%
Neck: 17.75" (1.75 inches lost)
Shoulders: 55.0" (9.0 inches lost)
Chest: 56" (9.0 inches lost)
Waist: 56.5" (8.5 inches lost)
Hips: 61” (7.0 inches lost)
Thigh: 27” (4.0 inches lost)
Ankles: 10.5" (no change)
Until next week my friends!
I am proud to say if I can do this anyone can. The key is to stay focused, and stay on the program. Make sure to follow the coaching that Dr. Jon gives you, that is what he is there for!
This week was very challenging; I wasn’t at home to eat. I was staying with my brothers kids while he was out of town. The hardest part was eating healthy. I found myself saying just stop and get something; or it will be ok to have some of the kid’s dinner (pizza, hamburger helper, lasagna). But I didn’t! I stayed true to the program and it paid off this morning. I lost another 5.2 pounds, and my BMI has dropped again to 50.8.
Week 14: March 3rd – March 9th, 2011
.bmp)
Week 15: March 10th – March 16th, 2011
Well… here we are at week 15; it seems like just yesterday when this journey started! The positive’s for this week; I haven’t weighed 345 in a very long time. Also, I am more than half way to my goal weight. Only 95.4 more pounds to go, you have no idea how good it feels to say that! I thought it was going to take forever to get it to the other side of 100 pounds to go.
For those of you that have been following my journey, thank you for the kind words of encouragement, every little word helps! If you’re on your own journey, keep your head up, and your eye on the prize (your goal weight in a short amount of time), it gets easier I promise!
Next Week... don’t forget new pictures and the tail of the tape for week 16.
This week’s weight is: 345.6, lost another 4.8 pounds
Total since December 1, 2010 is 83.6 pounds lost!
Week 16: March 17th – March 23rd, 2011
Tail of the tape week! Week 16 has come and gone, only 18 weeks, and 90.8 more pounds to go. Over the last 4 weeks I have lost 3.5 BMI points, 18.8 lbs, and 15 inches.
It wasn’t until I was adding up the inches from the beginning did I realize that I have lost 4.5 feet in inches (54.25”). How cool is that? Until next week my friends!
Weight: 340.8 lbs
BMI: 48.9
Percent body fat: 31.98%

Shoulders: 54.0" (10 inches lost)
Chest: 54" (11.0 inches lost)
Waist: 56.5" (9.25 inches lost)
Hips: 56.75” (11.25 inches lost)
Thigh: 28.5” (4.75 inches lost)
Ankles: 11.25" (.25 inches lost)
This week’s weight is: 340.8, lost another 4.6 pounds.
Total since December 1, 2010 is 88.2 pounds lost!
Week 17 & 18: March 24th – April 6th, 2011
I owe you all and apology, I totally forgot to put up a blog entry last week. So, I am combining last week with this week. The Journey is going great, things couldn’t be better! I am getting really close to the 100 pound lost mark, and I believe that I will pass it by the time that I talk to all of you next week.
I am really struggling with something and I think that I need all of your help. I am thinking of taking a break for the summer. The positives are that I have lost almost over a 100 pounds, the diet is easy to get back on. The negatives are after 18 weeks I getting really sick of salad. But, I think that I would have some guilt… I have come this far why not just go ahead and finish.
So what do you think?
This week’s weight is: 332.0, lost another 8.8 pounds
Total since December 1, 2010 is 97.0 pounds lost!
SPECIAL EDITION
I have great news everyone! I am very happy and excited to share with you that over the weekend I have crossed the 100 pound loss mark. 106 pounds to be exact. This was a huge weekend for me, I went to Silver Dollar City and rode amusement park rides with my niece Kylie for the first time. That was a huge rollercoaster of emotion (pun intended). Also had another small victory this weekend, the family went to celebrate Dr Jon's birthday at Texas Roadhouse, all that was available were booths. I just dove in, and slide into the booth without having to move it at all to get in. Thank God for little victories! See you all on Wednesday!
Week 23: May 4th – May 11th, 2011
Hello friends, I am truly sorry for not posting a blog entry in the last weeks. Things have been very busy, and it gets put off and moved to the bottom of the pile. But, today it first priority. Let me get you up to speed of where I am at right now in my journey.
I am about to start phase 3 of the Ideal Protein program, you may be asking what does that mean? Well… it’s a big deal; I get to start having carbs and fat again. For those of you that are regulars to this blog know that I haven’t had either of those in my diet for 23 weeks or little over 5 and a half months.
For the last two weeks I have been on phase 2 and I have to be honest with you the weight had slowed down with the addition of another 5-8oz of lean meat at lunch, but what I have noticed is that the inches are still coming off which is a great thing!
Many of you remember me asking”What I should do over the summer?” Well… I have come up with a plan; I’m phasing myself down to phase 4 which is maintenance (I’m not coming completely off the diet, I will Be eating sensibly during the week and have cheat days on the weekend) to go to a wedding out of town. When I get back, the following week I’m starting over on phase 1 until July and will start phasing out for my 40th birthday at the end of the month. Then, about August 15 I will start phase 1 once again after the family vacation. I only have 77 more pounds to go until my goal weight. Wish me luck!
Until next week my friends!
Don’t forget next week will be the “Tale of the Tape” and pictures.
Week 24: May 11th – May 17th, 2011
Tail of the tape week, a day early! Here we are 5 ½ months into this life changing event. I have to say a huge thanks to (my brother and sister-in law) Dr. Josh and Dr. Kari. If it was for them I wouldn’t have done so well on the program. Also big thanks to all of you for the support and encouragement along the voyage.
With week 24 upon us, many of you know where I’m at. I officialyl go to the second week of phase three. I have been eating a big breakfast every morning, let me tell ya how great it is to have carbs and fats again! I had toast for the first time, and it wasn’t the good as I thought it would be until I added butter to the mix. MMMM, how I have missed you! The good news is having introducing these things back into my diet I haven't gained any significant weight. I am just hovering around the 320-318 pound mark. But, the even greater thing is… I am a week away from real everyday food!
